Jessica Templeman
Jessica Templeman holds a Ph.D. in Socio-Legal Studies from York University. Her SSHRC funded research broadly focuses on the nature of discretionary considerations of collateral consequences in Canadian criminal courts. She has held visiting scholar positions at Oxford University's Centre for Criminology and at the Centre for Criminology and Sociolegal Studies at the University of Toronto. In 2019, Templeman was awarded the Canadian Journal of Law and Society article prize for her piece with Dr. Anna Pratt (Pratt, Anna & Templeman, Jessica (December 2018) “Jurisdiction, Sovereignties, and Akwesasne: Shiprider and the Re-Crafting of Canada-US Cross-Border Maritime Law Enforcement,” Canadian Journal of Law and Society 33.3).
